there is no way to be certain about the existence of worms in your flock- except a positive test? Is this the same test you'd do for your dog? If not, what's it called?
How often is a worm infestation detrimental or deadly? Does it justify all those drugs? How many people have actually lost or seen a hen suffer b/c of worms.
I've read up on DE, and there was university research that showed DE to be effective in grains. Also, I didn't see anything that said it didn't work when wet- in fact, it's not water soluble, so it's supposed to work when wet. I don't recall anything official/scientific that addresses worms inside living bodies, but I did think it was a magic cure-all.
