Do you think a raccoon could get into this?

Saw a video of one lifting a garage door.
The lid doesn't weight 150#.

It looks like window screen..I was asking if it was.
We were also asking if there was a lock/latch on the lid.

You came here asking us "Do you think a raccoon could get into this?"
We're just trying to help troubleshoot you set up.
Actually I did have coons lifting up my garage door and when I realized the coons were doing that, I locked that big garage door, but then they tore up my walk door to get in and I had to replace it. I should've taken a picture of that because the corner of the door was bent upwards about 12 inches. I had a trail cam set up and there was multiple coons working on that door.

Alright it’s not as pretty, but I’ve screwed in more boards along the top. Each gap between the top boards is almost 3 inches wide. Do you think this is raccoon proof now?

 Looks like steel window screen to me too.

Do I think a coon could get into that? Yes.

Is there a building you could put it in?

What about rain getting in there too? Rain getting in means wet chicks which is just as deadly as a coon.
It is under a shed at the moment, I also plan on installing a heat lamp soon, but I am just in the predator proofing stage rn

How deep is the box, cause a raccoon can stretch his arm quite a ways.
And where is the lock?
3 feet deep

The lock is that rubber strap. It feels like a 50lb draw back to stretch it to the holder. When it’s locked in there is no crack to be found or made between the lid and the bottom.

A good rule of thumb with raccoons and locks, "if a 3-4 year old child can open the latch, and raccoon can figure it out too." That should help. I don't think the boards will help much, it is less worry some that a coon could get in, it is most worrisome that a coon will stick its arms down into the cage, kill chicks and try to pull them out. When it can't get them out it will leave them, but it will still kill them anyway. Don't know if you have Weasles, but they will get there whole body through chicken wire, and get inside an kill chicks. You should put more wire over the top, rather then the boards. Hope this helps!
