About 5 years ago I was going hunting. My tree stand was about mid way up a really steep hill on a friends property. He lives way out in the middle of nowhere and his property shares a boarder with a huge state forest and then with thousands of acres owned by a paper company for timber.

I get about 50 yards from my stand and I hear something big take off. It was definitely on two feet from the way it was running, and it was super noisy, not graceful like a deer at all. I get to my stand and it STINKS. I mean, imagine trucker butt crossed with roadkill. Just the most god awful eye watering funky butt funk you've ever smelt. Not something dead. Not skunk. But like just the worst body odor smell you can possibly imagine. It was so bad you could taste it.

So I get in my tree stand, and I'm sitting there, and something is watching me. I'm sure you know the feeling of being watched. Something was staring straight at me from somewhere but I couldn't find it.

After about an hour the smell went away, but I still felt like I was being watched.

I finally left way earlier than normal, and frankly, I've never felt comfortable being there again. I've tried hunting it a few times, and I just feel...weird. Again, like I'm being watched. I've never felt that uncomfortable in the woods before. I don't like it, and I've not been back over there in about 3 seasons.
