@azygous was tagged by an earlier poster to offer help here, so that was the reason for the “bat signal” reference. She has decades of experience, and earnestly tries to help people. I have seen many, many of her posts offering helpful advice on this forum every day. Sorry if certain words seemed harsh, but no need to be harsh back. Elector PSP is expensive and probably better than most treatments. Most of us would chose permethrin 10 spray first, but in the long run for years of use, Elector may be worthwhile. We are all interested in helping others here and we all are mostly nice people. Carol (azygous) is one of the nicest. Sometimes words on a forum come off a little different than we mean sometimes. I have posted things that may have been too strong or misinterpreted. When you read threads here for a long time you get to know what most people are like.

My intentions were not meant to be harsh, they were simply meant to state the care I have provided. I'm just looking for help because this is painful for me to see my chicken going through this. My time can certainly be better spent on information to help me, not defend my position again and again because of something written on my thread. This certainly is not productive.
It would have been more helpful if I would have had this many responses to my 1st request for help with my cockerel, instead I got a response from one person.

This time of year, and it seems like it has been this way all year now, there are tons of threads posted. The forum has become more popular with more new people raising chickens. It has been overwhelming actually to answer every thread, and even to see each new post. Hopefully others will answer threads, but when you don’t get a response, the best thing to do is to keep posting an update that you still need help. Some of us are just online every now and then, some in the mornings, some at night, and there are people who post in Asia, Australia, or Europe when some of us are sleeping. A vet is always the best thing you can do. Let us know how your chicken is getting along.
