They can definitely go into the water. The water just needs to be warm and then you dry them off when they come out. It also helps keep them clean and healthy. Some of my ducklings would not fully clean their nares unless they were swimming. It also one of the best parts about raising ducklings, their bath time.Cool Beans!
Can brooder ducklings go into water(swim) like that right off the bat,
don't you have to wait until they get feathers and preens them with oil?

Yes, knew about the nare cleaning.They can definitely go into the water. The water just needs to be warm and then you dry them off when they come out. It also helps keep them clean and healthy. Yep! I made sure the water was like a warm bath. I only let them swim for a few minutes. I've heard it helps jump start their oil gland development, but I haven't found any actual research to support this, no matter where I search.Cool Beans!
