Does anyone have emu laying eggs now?

Yea I just saw a bunch of emu eggs for sale on Ebay last night!!!!

Apparently my FiL has his 8 pair laying now, posted his number in Northern California..
PM me for his phone, Dad has no computer...and he is very generous...anyone close want an actual emu or three? Five ?

yes, but they are big, bigger than a full grown chicken...can you not incubate ?

I'm determined to see how many emu eggs my Hova Bator will fit. I'm thinking two eggs. I'd also have to build a hatcher since my bator isn't big enough to hatch them safely.

I'm in Northern California and have fertile emu eggs. I've already set 4 in my Sportsman 'bator and will let Enoch have a few for his nest after I collect a few more to sell or blow out. Fertility has always been excellent and the eggs are collected within minutes of being laid. I'm hoping to hatch at least 2 for DH cousin; if more than 2 hatch the chicks will be sold. I'm kinda at my limit bird-wise

I am getting eggs, and have been getting for over a m onth now - but not as regular as in the past. Used to get one every other day, but this year it's going about every 3 to 6 days. I think this bizarre weather trend (cold summer, tons of rain now here in So Calif) has thrown them off.

Let me know if you're still interested. I did ship two eggs to another party a couple weeks ago. i have the first two ever laid this season (mid-November) going in an incubator, to see if the first lays turn out to be fertile. Should get a hatch or a no-go in the next few weeks.
