Recently I've seen eggs from a couple of EE x Marans, and I love the dark greeny color of the eggs. The other ones I saw were even speckled. I love seeing all the shades. One of mine lays a blueish green, the other a more olive colored egg.

Are they fertile eggs? I want chicks!

Oh yes, they are very fertile eggs!

I just hatched 2 of my 3 eggs out in incubator. Loss of the third was my fault. I should have let the incubator stay on longer. It was fully formed, I did not candle and so, I lost the baby that was fully formed and I froze it by turning of the incubator. I thought my hatch was over. I'm still grieving!
