Does anyone know what kind of duckling this is?

Mallards have an eye stripe and a cheek dot or second, shorter stripe. I have four. One had very light markings, as the second one does. The first, though, is 110% a mallard.

I’m glad to hear that because we wanted a mallard! It will be interesting to see if the lighter one is a mallard as well but no matter what they are, we love them very much!

Ah I just thought of this, but if purchasing a mallard from a store or hatchery, it will have its hind toenail on its right leg removed. Just in case you’re still curious whether it’s a Rouen or mallard​
