Thanks, but I don't want the kind with the nipples directly attached to the bucket. I want the bucket attached to PVC piping which runs into the coop and run. The nipples are attached to the piping.
Seems to me that you need two drinker set-ups some what like these.
Both attached to an acceptable water storage container that is outside the penning and easily accessable for refilling. The water could be delivered to the drinker pipe with flexible tubing that is much easier to deal with than PVC pipe and also allows for hiding it out of sight and height adjustment.
As for that E bay offering;
We can also sell you just the nipples to make your own waterers for $4.50 each plus a $4.85 flat rate charge for shipping via USPS "Priority Mail".
All I can say is Neil, you are the man! Got my nipples quick and made two waterers. The run has a pvc pipe with two screw in nipples and a screw on top for filling and keeping out the yuckies. I can raise and lower it as needed depending on where the run is put and at what angle it is in. The push-in nipples I used in the top of a cranberry juice plastic jug. I only put in one nipple and hung the jug inside the tractor. One nipple suffices for my 8 birds. They got it right away and love both of them and I have no more poopy water!!! No leaks or drips either. Best thing I ever did and will continue to do. By the way, pvc feeders are wonderful as well. I didnt glue them so I can take them apart for cleaning from time to time and my girls like having the feed available at all times. If anyone needs nipples, Neil is the go to guy!!!
I just installed these inside and outside our coop and the chickens already use them. How often do you change the water? Everyday?
It is really nice that it stays clean all day. I live in eastern Massachusetts and I am wondering what to do in the winter. Maybe a bid bath heater in the bucket. Any suggestions?
Thanks
I dont think you are! I have a 30 gal hooked up in my coop, sure in heck makes it easier at -50 to check chickens and keep them with plenty of water withouth having to haul every other day

I would think heat tape would work, I dont have mine set up like his I just use a reptile pad on one and the other is a fish tank eater in my barrels. Hope that helps
