They're blue. With cuckoo marans hens, 50% would be blue and 50% would be black. All rooster offspring would have a single copy of the barring gene, and all hens would be solid colored. With black copper marans, 50% would be blue, 50% black. The offspring could have some red leakage.
So far I have not got any black and she has stop laying so I hope she will still be alive to have more babies bc she is getting old and she will be 8 next spring. Just curious if I breed any of those chicks she produced to my black or blackcoper or wheaten what would the results be since they are blue.
I listed the possible results for black copper in my post. Black would be the same except without leakage. Wheaten would also produce 50% black and 50% blue chicks with leakage.
