Does anyone want help figure this mystery

If she lays green eggs then I'd assume she isn't pure for blue eggs so probably half of her offspring will lay brown eggs.
The other half will lay green eggs but as far as if they're olive or just green depends on how dark off brown egg genes your rooster carries.
Being a hatchery product imo he won't produce what I'd consider olive.

So if I breed these chicks back to another Maran rooster will the spring still have 50% olive and 50% dark brown egg
So are these chicks going to be a cuckoo since my rooster looks cuckoo?

I would call..
I called they did not pick up but I emailed them and they said this
Hi Ryder,
The chicks are so pretty however, I'm not really sure on the parent stock cause our ARA are not a pure bred Americana or Araucana They are kind of a cross of the 2 but a pure breed bird. They are a breed that most commercial hatcheries use as a blue/green colored egg layer. The chicks look like the grey ARA with beards as their parents.
Thanks
Estes Hatchery L

If you breed ONLY the chicks that end up laying green eggs back to a marans rooster then yes you'll continue to get 50% brown egg layers and 50% green egg layers. Will they lay green or olive is a matter of perspective. I don't consider an egg as olive unless it comes close to an olives color. Others regularly call what I consider plain green as olive eggs so you'll have to wait and see what you get and your opinion.
In theory every time you breed back to the marans the eggs will get darker but every time you'll also get half that lay brown.
You rooster only carries one copy for barring. Which means he also carries one gene for non barred. About 50% will be barred and 50% won't be.

Are you sure those are the parents? Those chicks look blue. The ones with head spots are barred.

Sorry, I have to weigh in here. When talking about genetics, it is not exactly correct to say that 50% of a hatch WILL BE (a) and 50% WILL BE (b), any more than you could say that if you flip a coin ten times it will come up heads five times. It is more accurate to say that EACH CHICK has a 50% chance of being either (a) or (b).

I'm sure all the long-term, experienced breeders here knew that, but we can't assume that novices did, so I just wanted to clarify the issue.

They are blue and yes two will be barred blue and one blue non barred.
The hen has splash.
Blue you say!!! I hope that is right we have never had a blue or anything like a blue. I would never guess that she had splash but EE seem to have all colors is what my mom says. Will she always produce blue chicks or can she have other colors?
