does feeding chicks mealworm make their poo smell bad

last year when I hatched my chicks (silkies) I fed them mealworm which the adore but I found that their poo smelt bad

is this because of the mealworm or is it normal.

It's possible that your chicks were producing more cecal poops after being fed meal worms, but worms shouldn't be the cause of smelly poops. Cecal poops are produced no matter what you feed them.
