Does no one own/breed turkens??

I just bought the hen in the middle. She has great nakedness! Hopeing it will take away some of the bow tie on my roo. He is a bantam but she is a small standard. I am going to use her to breed forbetter necks and hopefully he will bring the size down. NNs are great layers and setters and are very hardy. A lot of folks over on the Oklahoma thread have them.

I had one, Tuck-Tuck, but she passed not to long ago from what the vet believed to be cancer. I adored that chicken. I thought she was beautiful and she had the sweetest personality. Even at a couple of months old, she'd still try to snuggle underneath my hair at the back of my neck. I've been really wanting to get some eggs from mommawolf (I think), but it just seems a little too soon.

I'm totally in love with my Ivy, a black pullet that has gold lacing in her bowtie. Very sweet birds.

I have one named lady gaga. Floridamama has them & breeds them. I hatch from her eggs & get a great hatch rate. They look so silly & i need a scarf for gaga...LOL

I have 2 Nadia and Natasha they are about 2 months old. I know they are spunky they dont take any flack from my big girls. I have them seperated right now til they get bigger but they can see each other daily throgh the fence. The first day I put them in their new run one of the reds came over and pecked at them one of them pecked right back, Now the reds stay away from them

Pretty birds y'all. I think the turkens are awesome and I wish I had ordered more. My turken cockerel is on my doo-doo list right now however. If he wing dances me one more time.....

Even have a couple projects with them, one being laced turkens. Here's the hen that started the laced project:

Babies are peachicks. I never had any laced birds in the flock, so she was a big surprise. Bred her with a sebright roo this year.. her son seems to be growing out pretty good lacing.

Kev, I will try to post pics of my one turken pullet Ivy soon as possible. She's gold laced on her bow-tie and a little on her chest. It's so pretty! Yours is stunning!
