My dog is stealth about it.

She's scared senseless of the chickens so she waits til they're out in the garden & then dives face first & binges on the fermented feed.

Drives me nuts cuz she's allergic to grains. Gets hotspot for days afterwards.

P.S. someone posted this on a different thread. LMAO!!! :lau:lau:lau

animals always get jealous of other animals foods. thats y squirrels eat bird seed, they want it. so of course chicken will want to eat cats food. cats food has a lot more flavor in it. it just wants good tasting food

Not cat food, but they sure steal dog food! I will scatter just a bit of dog food in the yard, and watch they chickens try to eat it as the dogs defend it. That's my source of entertainment when I'm bored.

I heard/read cat food is too salty for chickens. comment ?
It probably is, but as of this month if I am not fast enough with the chicken feed at 6:35AM(and even if I am on time) the cat food is where they go! It seems to be the hens first stop, my roo isn't after it so it might be a protein and calcium thing.
