I wish more people would let them be dogs!!

Btw I love your profile picture... Border Collies? Are those your dogs? :)
Thank you! Yes they are my "kids". Seven year old girl "Cheer" is in front.....2 year old "Gauge" is behind. Both from Cedar Border Collies in Canada. Amazing dogs! I love them to pieces.:love

I know a lot of people who carry their dogs instead of having them walk in stores because their dog has that attitude and it doesn't come across great when they're first meeting a dog.

Molly is that way... She can be a complete jerk and it can never be taken out of her brain to not be like that because she is a little dog. She wants a bigger dog to know that she is the alpha. When you have a dog that has an alpha personality, you never want them to confront a dog face-to-face unless you do it slowly... If not there will be a fight

I always put Molly in the cart when we go to a store. That is her safe zone and she knows that she is safe inside the cart.

Jolene on the other hand doesn't really have that alpha in her even though she's been challenging Molly but she doesn't do it towards other dogs that are not in her pack. Jolene loves playing with other dogs.

I can somewhat understand if the dog is aggressive or a bit more dominant or whatever and it’s done to protect them or other dogs or if it’s in a store or something but I’m more talking about the people who will take the dog on a walk around the block or whatever but don’t let it walk... they’ll carry it or have it in a stroller the whole way or whatever... little dogs like to sniff and walk and explore and stuff too and still need exercise.

I get it occasionally to protect them or if they get tired or for something cute but some people only ever carry them or for example only ever have them in their purse and treat the dog as an accessory rather than a living, breathing dog. Those are the kind that annoy me. You treat your dogs like dogs.

They are beautiful! I love them. :love

And I love the bunny ears photo :lau

I think you need to learn more on small dogs before you do training. They're different than larger dogs. They already act aggressive towards bigger dogs because it's for survival. They HAVE to be that way. You can't train that instinct out of them. It's like training a cat not to scratch furniture.. they'll do it until you get them a scratching post, it's instinct.
