DOG PROBLEMS!! HELP

No need for a car axle, just dig a hole two feet long, shovel width wide and about a foot or two deep, fill the hole with cement and stand a metal pole in the middle to be used as your tie off thats if you want to tie your dog up though I recomend not though do to the fact that dogs develop bad social behaviors from it. I still recomend training, training and more training, she is a beautiful lab btw.

thanks. Chloe got a bath the day i took that pic. why will they learn bad social behaviors?

I beg to differ, my friends Siberian Huskey has more power then at pit and would still be pulling while the pit is trying to get his strength back. His Husky even out does my German Rott
it really depends in a short weight contest a pit bull may bet a husky put in a long pulling like a distance mushing race, huskies are the champs. Pit bulls can pull a lot of weight a short distance but they use up energy to quickly. a husky know how to start a load and pace itself to save its energy. Pit bull were breed are bull and bear bait not pulling dogs so when people start raising them for weight comps the dogs didn't know who to steady themselves in order to pull for a long time, which why weight comps are short. Both are great breeds with a lot of strength

Do a little reading up on the negative effects of chaining/tethering a dog as the primary method of containment - there is lot of great information out there (and some not so great info - so that is why it's important to read as much as you can find) - also, if this is the same dog already showing issues that likely stem from boredom and a lack of good tiring out, tethering is only going to be that much more of an issue.

I've never had a problem with chaining dogs. The dog I have chained currently can reach water and the other dogs to play. I don't really want to chain chloe because she is a pet, not a working dog like the ones I have chained. the dogs I have chained are in an area where they can't choke, hang or hurt themselves. chaining dogs is not a sin. And its not inhumane. some people have given chaining a bad rep, there is always some idiot who will take a perfectly good and safe Idea and kill it. chaining my dogs is for there safety. its either they get chained or they get killed...

My sister-in-law has a beatufil and huge Great Dane he was a very loving and repectful pup and he kept getting out of his yard so she chained him up, he still got all the loving and excersize that was givin him off the chain. A month later he attacked my neice and bit her in the face and is now very agressive towards everyone that gets near him, this is the dog that use to play with her and let her crawl all over him. My personal and profesional opinion as a dog trainer is that some dogs develop agressive and bad social behaviors from being chained up, im not saying all but some do.

That has nothing to do with the chain, unless they chained him and left him to rot 24/7 and stopped interacting with him. As a supposed trainer, you should know dog behavior and psychology better than to believe nonsense that putting a dog on a chain sometimes causes it to be vicious. That's silly.

You said he was a loving and respectful PUP. Puppies often have different temperaments than mature dogs. As dogs reach maturity, behavioral problems often show their faces. The chain has nothing to do with it.

Read the second line I stated. "he still got all the loving and excersize that was givin him off the chain", i have been a certified dog trainer for 15 years boss, i train for obedience, hunting and K9 so i know dog behavior and psychology very well. He is still considered a pup since he is only a year old, go figure!
