Fun facts: He is the dog in charge at our house. When I got him I was having horrible panic attacks. Don’t know for sure if he’s responsible but in the two weeks after getting him my attacks slowly stopped. I am now panic attack free. He is a very nervous little guy. And just enjoys to be petted by anyone. At night he sucks on the blanket like a pup would their mother. Thi is his oddest habit. He loves everyone. That’s why he has a heart on his head.

We adopted him at 12 weeks old from a semi-local rescue/foster after he was surrendered at 8 weeks with his sister at a rural shelter in Kentucky. We weren't seriously looking, but just browsing as we had to put down our 18 year old Jack Russell, Kramer, a month prior. He immediately stole our hearts with his eyebrows and cute little face. We were told he was a Jack Russell-Dachshund mix. We put in an application and were chosen out of 20 other applicants.

We did a DNA test shortly after adopting him and still laugh about his ancestry. We call him a chi-weenie, a Dorkie Chihuahua, and flooferkins.

He "chortles" when he wants to play. The only time he barks is at the UPS/FEDEX/Amazon truck.

He loves being on the water - paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, but dislikes being in the water.

Snuggling, car rides, digging, and searching for mice/voles are also his favorite things. His prized possession is a deer shed antler he found in the woods over the winter that we let him keep.
