Dog the Bounty Hunter

I agree Debi, I enjoy that fact and the show very much. I also like the way that both he and she can get compassionate and talk to the people, try to help them and have personal feelings about each case.

So all their bails are fake? All their chases are fake? Taking them to the jail is fake?

Capturing Andrew Luster was fake? Going to jail for it was fake?

Of course !!!! all of it was definitly discussed and worked on all for the hype factor. Many of us have watched these reality shows long enough to see a pattern. Do you honestly think the producers of this show are going to let these knuckleheads run around doing there own thing without a hyped up direction and something to get the ratings up. come people now it is time for you to get some reality. All I am saying is that since the inception of these reality shows The hollywood types were always looking for an angle. I saw a reality TV show once about how an actor was auditioning for a reality show, thats was the straw that broke the camels back. Did you ever wonder how they get there info ??, instead they just pick up the phone and say Ok guys he is here lets go get'em, the producers staff finds these people. Let's look at the fact that there is some director saying Ok when you catch'em and cuff'em wouldn't it be great if you prayed with the guy, OOOHHHHH yeah that would be cool lets do it, the ratings this week are going to be through the roof LOL. I guess all I am saying is that these shows just want to give the viewer the illusion of reality, there all acting.

Well aren't you just a bubble buster today! Next you are going to tell me Santa isn't real either.

I also like when sports teams pray together before a game! But I don't have cable so I've never seen that show.

Don't you think they "pick" the people they are going to go after by how interesting the show can be? It's like Extreme Makeover Home Edition- ya gotta have a great sob story. Nothing against EMHE, just sayin.

LOL LOL No not today hehehehe, I like Santa.

Check the credits at the end of the show, like they have for that reposession show - if it says "Based on actual events" then you know they are acting

I really enjoyed the show, but I have zero-tolerance for that.

I did feel bad for them when they were imprisoned in Mexico. That was really scary.

I wouldn't want to make Beth mad, either!

Shelly

Im not going to hold that against him.
If I was to hate or dislike everyone who dropped the N word there wouldnt be many I could talk to. I personally dont use it myself and always say something to correct someone that does use it. But Im not going to hold it against someone.

I don't think it has anything to do with hating someone who shows themselves as a bigot. It has to do with not condoning such behavior. By not watching the show, they are not supporting it. They make money by people watching...

the amount of countless hours that the whole dog clan spend with the tv crew would make your head spin... and 99% of the footage ends up "on the cutting room floor" it is edited beyond belief

if some of it staged?... probably

is it all fake?...who knows but I sure hope the US marshal service has better things to do with their time , and the Hawaiian courts have more pressing matters then to stage something for TV.. (at least I hope so)

I for one like the show and miss it now that we have dropped our cable. Leland is just to hot for words, I miss making fun of the mullet (jk)

even if it is 100% fake.... is it really that harmful?
he talks to people, points out that not every criminal is bad they have made bad decisions

he exposes the reality of drugs so we can say to our children this is why you dont want to get messed up in that

yes he dropped the N bomb but i am sure you have said worse things to friends or family when you thought no one was looking

he also does not use guns! I would rather my kids watch Dog the bounty hunter then some of the music videos that are available on-line

this is just IMO and not meant to provoke anybody or point fingers

WhaCHAAAA

Background
The program spun off from Chapman's appearance in the show A&E Network's Take This Job, a program about people with unusual occupations. Both shows are produced for A&E by Hybrid Films, a New York-based production company. The concept of the program was to follow a family of bounty hunters as they capture fugitives. The show has been running for six seasons to date.

The television show follows the family's bail bond business, Da Kine Bail Bonds, which has locations in Oahu, in Kona on the Big Island, and also on the mainland in Denver, Colorado. Despite rumours to the contrary, all apprehensions of criminals are real, and despite being dramatized for television purposes, all criminals had valid warrants out for their arrest.

The television series led to an autobiographical book You Can Run But You Can't Hide, which chronicles his years before becoming a bounty hunter and also some of his more infamous hunts including the more controversial hunt that took him and his team to Mexico to capture serial rapist Andrew Luster.[5]
