Dog thread!🐾

Sasha still gets worried when we all disappear for a while. She didn't want me to go do the bird chores this morning

Excellent idea! Thanks! I’ve researched them both but reading is not the same as meeting some and/or talking to people who have or work with them so I’ll definitely do that.
Contact the breed club, contact potential herding clubs and check with rescue groups. You never know what you might find.

No, i said my next one will have papers though
Oh, I thought that it was kinda humorous when you insinuated I haven't met the breeder of my Aussie.

Nothing against mutts, but without records of your dog's lineage, it could easily look like something that it's entirely not.

My Mali-mutts mother looked like an Afghan with blue merle markings; literally nothing like any puppy in the litter.

Tucker was DNA tested. Denver we met both the parents. Dad was AKC mom was DNA tested. Both purebred goldens.
If it's pure to the breed, the breeder should have paperwork. That's the difference between being a breeder VS someone who has unknown lineage dogs copulating in their backyards.

DNA testing isn't entirely accurate, besides, even if it was pure, without knowing the lineage, the parents could be siblings somewhere along the lines.

Whats your point? I don’t think @Ilovemychicks08 has claimed their dogs where amazingly bred at any point

if dna testing says they are purebred the chances of much of anything else in the mix is slim to the point it doesn’t matter, dna testing can tell you the coi

I definitely dont have top of the line amazing pedigreed world champions.
I love both my dogs and even if they were mixed i wouldnt care because they are mine.
At first i was thinking Tucker was a mix his body type and everything looked as if he had Irish Setter in him. And then looking up Irish Setter/ Golden Retriever mixes, it definitely looked like him. Then i saw cocker spaniel/GR mixes and i said he could be mixed with that to. But the test says purebred GR, the vet thinks hes purebred GR and other GR breeders say the same.
