I do, but will probably not have another coated dog. Smooth is they way to go for me. If only there were smooth haired Cavaliers...

Feels like it’s all pitties and labs here plus some hounds and some herding breeds in the shelters lol and then little dogs.

I'd get a second one if they came in smooth! Honestly a smooth Cav with some more differences, such as less all-around people friendliness, and less health issues would be exactly what I want

Surprisingly I’ve only seen one doodle in shelters around here

Surprisingly I haven’t seen many doodles in our rescues lol but then again we get most of our dogs from the south. I’ve seen a couple adult doodles though.

What's wrong with people friendliness?

Let me tell you. It is not enjoyable to have your dog wanting to be petted by every stranger. Seeing as they're super cute, most people pet them, or sweet talk to them. It is sooo hard to get a good training session in, and I'd honestly prefer a dog that was just interested in keeping up with me, not every random person ever
