What's wrong with people friendliness?
Some like the scary factor to protect them even if they won’t actually protect. Even just looks are nice. But I doubt that’s fluffys reason. It would be mine though especially giving I used to hike a lot and want to start again. I walk alone all the time too. Also it can cause reactiveness from wanting to say hi to everyone. That’s my problem with Brew. He’s not aggressive reactive but friendly reactive as in AHHHHH OH MY GOD HUMAN!!!! And it’s hard to control him. Although he more so does it with other dogs. That’s even harder.

Let me tell you. It is not enjoyable to have your dog wanting to be petted by every stranger. Seeing as they're super cute, most people pet them, or sweet talk to them. It is sooo hard to get a good training session in, and I'd honestly prefer a dog that was just interested in keeping up with me, not every random person ever
Okay, I can see that. I love that my Boston loves everybody. She makes people smile and just spreads happiness. I guess also having a rescue dog that is scared of most people makes me like friendly dogs even more.

I agree that having a "scary" dog makes me feel more comfortable on walks. But I don't have to worry about controlling my overly-friendly Boston because she's small. I think seeing her and the people so happy outweighs the cons.

That makes sense! It’s just annoying trying to train neutrality lol especially when I messed up and let him greet every dog and person as a baby
