Dog thread!🐾

I couldnt imagine walking a dog then it breaks. And the dog gets away

Oh it's happened. Sorta. Buddy slipped out of his first harness. A lot of screaming later (and maybe a little crying) he stopped. Thankfully he had little legs so we would've caught yp to him one second later
I have had a leash break with Lulu surprisingly she stopped as soon as a yelled at her! Twiggy has slipped out of her harness she also stayed in place šŸ˜…. This is why I am very fussy where I get my dog stuff from, this was one of the things my family convinced me would be fine! And it broke šŸ˜† I only used it on Fanta because she’s well-ish behaved off leash

this is also why I am going to work on recall with all my dogs and one of the reasons why I like martingale collars, they at least can’t slip out of it!

Rupert the TamarukƩ. Some strange cross with a labradoodle and something else that's probably a mix of lots of breeds.

Edit: 4 years old, don't know how much he weighs. Pretty big but not really.

I have found out spaniels are not for me  a springer was the breed that made the most sense, she is cute but her frantic hyper running stress both me and my mother šŸ˜…

I do kind of regret getting a springer  no idea if any other breed would have been betteršŸ˜•
It is just a juvenile phase she is going through, so don't dispair. As soon as she will be one year old, you could take her on bicycle rides which will leave her well exercised instead of frantic and hyper.
Start with short rides to train her not to run or jump in front of your bike.

My Airedale Terriers both love it and they get their almost one hour bike rides every other day.

Until then train her by teaching her that after playtime comes the rest period where she has to stay (and sleep) in the dogbed until further notice.

Its less her amount of energy, I like boisterous dogs. Its more how uses it, its hard to explain. We will see how she matures, I have her now anyway!
