I’m really liking the Welsh Springer Spaniel (not to be confused with the English Springer Spaniel) and the Field Spaniel breeds. Rarer breeds but seem amazing and more compatible from my research. But the English Springer seems amazing too.

I do really want a Border Collie! Hahah but right now I’m eyeing spaniels and retrievers. Or BBM.

I have heard the welsh springers are calmer then the English. Have you checked how easy it is for you to find a breeder? Thats how I narrowed it down sometimes since I doubt what breeders are around will change by much in a few years

Yeah, it seems like it! And yup, I’ve been Googling all afternoon LOL the Welsh has a better website and breeder referrral list, can’t find one for the English, but I did find more breeders of the English near me but there are some of the Welsh near me too. And there’s some Field Spaniel breeders too. So yeah. I could find a breeder for any of them if I wanted. I even found some Cav breeders.

That’s awesome and hilarious! Hahah Malamutes are good dogs too. I knew a really cool one that hung out at a local art gallery/music venue. Unfortunately, they’ve since closed but yeah. I’m sure the dog passed by now too.

Herding dogs can be a handful, but I admit that I know very little about border collies; whether they're harder or easier than Aussies.
