Basically miniature American Shepherds is the name of the breed, but for some reason BYBs keep calling them miniature Australians. Kind of funny IMO

Yeah definitely not. They’re a little underweight but definitely not emaciated or anything. They wouldn’t have muscle like that or shiny coat if they were.

A lot of BYBs use it but there are reputable breeders of them too and the stock dog registry registers them still so yeah

Why would an ethical breeder call their dogs mini aussies when there's literally a recognized breed?

And up until 5-10 years ago or whenever the new breed was established that’s what they were called. Some just haven’t switched over.

Aussies and Mini Americans are also different now. Other breeds were added. The founding dam looked like a corgi mix.

Which registry other than the stock dog registry? Because if they're registered with the stock dog registry, the breeders can't show anywhere but there. I could be totally ignorant though

It’s still a registry though and they can show. Plus a lot of them do sports and stuff too outside of the registry and health test and everything.
