Huh interesting. They still can't show outside the ASDR though, right? I can't lie I'm a little interested in this drama. Do you have any ethical breeders that still go by the mini aussie name?

I think you’re correct but it’s the same for UKC vs AKC unless they’re dual registered which not all are. And there’s a bunch listed on the website though of course not all of them are ethical.

Also I just looked and some of the Aussies are dual registered. I don’t think minis can be though unless they’re registered as just regular Aussies.

Aussies and Mini Americans are also different now. Other breeds were added. The founding dam looked like a corgi mix.

From my understanding of the limited reading I did last night, all they did to produce the breed is mate smaller Aussies to each other until they got to the size they wanted...

I’ve read that too but I saw a picture of the dam on FB and she was clearly a mix. So idk.

From the actual original breeders? Just curious. I know it's a relatively new breed.

I personally don't like corgis, but that's just my own preference.

I’m not sure who it was from, it was a while ago. But they said it was the original dog.

In a weird way calling them mini American shepherds makes some sense considering I don't think we "offically" have them in Australia.
