Fluffy, what about a rescue greyhound? I know you wanted a puppy but they perfectly fit what you want.

An adult greyhound would be good, yeah. There are two big problems however. One way bigger than the other. First, slightly more minor. I won't be able to show it. Second, major problem. To have a rescue greyhound you have to get it off the track, and we don't have tracks. The dog would have to come from the UK or Spain

Yeah, that's the adults. But I'm pretty sure the pups are like "I'm fast af boy" 24/7. Basically I want a short coated Cavalier. So I guess Boston or pug?

But puppies do need very limited exercise, most of their time should be them freely running around, they also need a lot of sleep! I know nothing about whippets though

This is so funny. NONE of the dogs I've ever interacted with past the "aw that one's cute, blah blah blah" has been taught how to fetch. Like I don't know if it's something in the food, or it's because they're Greeks, and thus, stubborn, but they just won't do it. So no need to apologize, I should be the one apologizing, because fetch never crosses my mind nowadays LOL

Pikelet and Fanta fetch, kind of. I haven’t worked on Pikelet letting go of the toy. Fanta will sometimes let it go when she feels like it

YALL oh my gosh I am so insanely pleased with my puppy. We introduced her to the goats this morning to test her recall and focus, I sent her after the goats and let her get abt 50yds away before saying “Aspen HEEL” she was running full speed but she turned on a dime, made a beeline for me, immediately sat at my heel and looked up at me like “ok mama, what next?” I’m so in love with my beautiful smart girl, I can’t wait to see what she’s capable of!!!

Ohhhhh okay that makes sense. I keep forgetting you want to show. And that there’s not always as many rescues other places as there are here lol

I never do those. Buddy has been on maybe two? Even so, I know I'll have to be VERY selective with a breeder, don't want a dog that can half breathe

That's good! Yeah, some Bostons have a lot of trouble while others don't. I think pretty much all pugs only "half breathe." It's THE reason I decided not to get one.

Tbh I think responsible breeding can do great things, so I don't think ethically bred pugs half breathe. Maybe 1/4 breathe
