To people who don’t know any better they all look the same though. That’s more what I was saying. Most people think a pit bull looks like a bully but they shouldn’t. But to the people enforcing the rules it’s probably anything with a block head

I don't believe so. There are definitely a lot of dogs that are going to get thrown of the bus due to this ban, but I don't think it's strictly due to the ignorance of the lawmakers, and the ones carrying it out. Something more intentional, perhaps. The pit bull is a bully breed, just one with vastly different type to the one that's caught in the crossfire this year. As such, an AmStaff mix is going to get classified as an XLBully, not as tiny (comparatively), athletic cousin

I find the xl ban weird because it fits a massive range of dogs including some Lab crosses. They also won’t accept a pedigree or DNA testing to prove the breed the dog is

Exactly. It is more so about looking like a bully, than a pit bull. And a LOT of mixes look like bullies

Also there’s a lot of mixes that look like actual APBT too because a lot of the mixes, at least here, have at least some APBT in them. And Brew has been called a pit before. Several times actually. But then again his main breed is APBT.

Yes, but dogs are going to get put down under the guise of them looking like XLBullies, not pit bulls. It doesn't serve them to call the dogs pit bulls, since they can call them bullies and get the job done. With the ban, almost anyone in the UK has become familiar with what an XLBully looks like anyways, so there's no point in bringing back the pit bull card

Yeah but APBT are banned too and Dogos and a few other breeds so mutts that look like actual APBTs will get put down too.
