Well, found the breed that matches the Cavalier. It's the French bulldog. Health problems and I are going to become besties

I believe I read somewhere that Frenchies become very attached to one person. They also demand attention and can be noisy.

they are very adaptable, so even if they don't like their sitter (in case I'm hone for a few days) they can still be OK, just not super thrilled

Plus, all dogs require attention. It's just that while their people are gone, some go ballistic, and others sleep it out

I take it back. Brew does go crazy after walks lol he just doesn’t really get the “zoomies.” We play with the flirt pole or bite rag instead and he goes ham LOL

Also he was trying to bite and play with the leash I used to let him with the old rope leashes but the biothane is hard to grip plus it’s a bad habit so I stopped allowing it lol but today I didn’t correct him or anything cause he was playing very gently and I just kept walking, dragging the leash along, and he kept trying to get it and I was like I’ll get your bite rag or the flirt pole out, buddy. Hold on.

Okay, just thought I'd mention it. I'm curious what you think would be better about a Frenchie than a Boston.

Well, the Boston terrier club of America says "they will languish without human contact". Of course this can be interpreted in many ways, but the French bulldog club of America just leaves it at "they are a companion breed". To me it seems that one can deal with absence much better than the other

Do what I did and get the Boston French bulldog mixes. I have 4. All have been quite healthy and they are the most perfect dog. Mine all have different percentage of Boston to bulldog. My oldest will be 10 this coming year. I might be biased, but to me they are the perfect dogs.
