Dog thread!🐾

There was a sale at the farm store today, so guess who got a bunch of new stuff!
A matching collar, leash, and harness set for when he is bigger, a single blade shedding comb, a dandy brush, styptic powder, new treats, and a proper slow feeder bowl! He choked the other day trying to inhale his food and it scared me so badly. :'( But he took like 15 minutes to eat his dinner with the new bowl, which is absolutely awesome!
Thats great!!

I feed through puzzle toys because pf inhalation. Denver is even on one. It takes about 10 minutes for them to eat vs 2.

I can definitely understand why she'd start sucking it up!
If I free fred him his allotted amount, he would probably eat it all in one sitting, haha. I'm not sure how his litter was fed, but I think he inhales it because he was used to competition.
Tucker was free fed as a puppy is what we were told.
Still 2 years later he still acts as if he has to fight for his food. In which he doesnt he is fed seperated from everyone

I got Tucker a woof pupsicle yesterday they were on sale. I didnt get the tray to make treats so i just filled the bottom up with a bit of yogurt.
We will see later how well he likes it.

I dont think Denver would use it but ill also try it with her before buying another.

Jäger is such a heavy chewer that I haven't gotten anything like that yet. Super strong jaws.

I had hurt my hip last week. It made it hard to walk, but I still wanted to get the dogs out for a walk. Pepper usually walks behind me or stops and waits for our return. I was really gimping along. This time she stayed right at my side the whole trip down the field, walking slowly with me, and constantly touching my hand. It really reminded me how in tuned an aussie could be. She is back to doing her normal stuff again as my hip feels better, running and wrestling with Biscuit. It really surprised me because she's usually all about my husband. Good to know she will be there if necessary for moral support. I think she will be my last Aussie as I'm not sure I can handle another, but this stuff makes me think long and hard about that, and I'm not positive.
