that's what we've been doing, she also verbally corrects really well if I absolutely have to. If she starts to get up from a stay and I make my correction noise she immediately goes back to the stay. Obviously though she shouldn't even try to get up buy we are working on it. I think she mostly just assumes a lot, like when she gets up, she comes to me not wanders around. She really just thinks she knows what I want I guess


We will definitely start working this! She's used to dragging her 30 ft line so that's already down. I've always wanted to do her off leash I'm just so nervous that she's gonna get distracted, even if it's just a crazy one off, and get herself into a dangerous situation like into traffic or with another dog. Her recall is so perfect 70% of the time but then sometimes she just...won't...it's like she'll see something super appealing and that's it. But if nothing specific catches her eye she's fine. I wouldn't say she's easily distracted at all, but when something does get her it really gets her

To answer your last sentence, I would say, set her up. Whatever is most likely to distract her, work her in those situations. I have paid kids to ride by my house on bicycles, run past me playing ball and being noisy, etc. Working several dogs in a group is always good if you have plenty of room and can get a few friends together, and even working around traffic or outside a Walmart, on leash of course. Get creative! You want her bullet-proof!

Tomorrow I will also post pics showing you how to correct her breaking from blind-stays. Solid stays can save her life so you really want her solid on these.

And chunky is good at anything as long as it doesn’t involve you touching his paws and are constant for a couple days

I think her biggest trigger is other dogs, not when they ignore her, shes fine just being around dogs and stuff but other dogs going towards her or staring at her makes her want to go greet them. She won't go nuts or try to pull me but she'd walk away if I let her. I'm going to try to go to more places with dogs then and work on her there.
