Honestly, it seems like a major breakthrough. Like when Anne Sullivan spelled W-A-T-E-R into Helen Keller's hand and the sun broke out and shined on her face and the light literally dawned in her mind and for the first time she understood that these hand formations meant the thing that she could feel, that it meant water, and her mind opened up and she could learn. I feel like Jenny can learn now, a door has cracked open in her mind and we can communicate. It's a start anyway.

I've been working having my dog walk past other dogs while on a leash. She does great off leash and recalls immediately and listens really well, but she gets hyped up on a leash and just walking past other dogs is hard and frustrating for her. But yesterday we were walking and there was a Great Pyrenees tied up on the other side of the road and she did really well! She used to bark and lunge but now she is able to keep a (mostly) loose leash and listen without treats.

And now I'm teaching her the trick back stall, where she jumps up and stands on my back, which is hard. But we're getting it. Slowly.

The other day I was doing long stays and blind stays with willow off leash. She was doing great, but one time after I was like 15 feet away she started to get up, so I have her a verbal correction and she laid back down and was good. Anyway I was pretty proud of her reaction to that correction. She also heeled on and off leash that day and did lots of recall all great
