I had a dog that got similar symptoms when we were renting a farm house. We took her to the vet but too late. She got into rat poison the farmer put into the barns and ate it. It is the same thing people use to thin their blood - also called coumadin or warfarin. These are anti-coagulants and my dog bleed to death despite Vitamin K treatment. Hope it is not that but that was what I thought when I read your posts.
I'd see another vet. The initial symptoms you listed should have been enough for some further testing or preventative treatment like a course of antibiotics. The new symptoms would have me seeing the ER vet if money allowed.
thanks everyone for your support. Unfortunately, we are treating it as if it were toxins from rat poison, and the vet gave us medicine to treat it.
He said that that is the most probable reason for it, and if we don't see any sign of improvements in two days, then we should come back. He said it could be other things, and the vitamin wouldn't treat that so there is a chance that she might not make it
but we are going to follow the doctor's orders and I will keep you guys posted.
