. I have a yellow border collie about 4 1/2 yrs old and she’s always been a paw licker always trying to get het to stop but wasn’t huge issue but now constantly biting them to the point of blood. It’s the only part of her that she’s biting and no fleas ang other dog seems fine. I don’t know how to get her to stop. She loves to cuddle and be pet but for some reason she looses it when you touch her paws and she’s always been that way. Anyone know I can stop this?

That's usually a sign of an allergy. What are you using for flea control? Dogs with any type of collie are in them are notorious for sensitivities to medication. My border mix (RIP my dear, sweet old man) couldn't use over-the-counter flea and tick meds. He needed a prescription Rx. Once I changed his meds (including his heartworm chews,) he was fine. So ask your vet if there are alternatives. We also used (and still do) lamb and rice feed, which is good for sensitive stomachs and skin.
Good Luck. It's frustrating trying to figure out what's going on when they can't tell you, but you'll get there!

If she's getting enough stimulation - daily walks and such - she probably has allergies. If she isn't getting enough stimulation, it could be boredom.
My lab mix has allergies and we started by giving her otc allergy meds. There are charts online for dosages and the types to use. We also rinsed her paws anytime she came in from the outside.
It worked for awhile, but then got worse so we consulted the vet.
She currently takes apoquel (which is non-steroidal). She still gets her feet rinsed depending on the season. She does well with it. I know there is controversial blogs out there regarding apoquel, but we tried more natural ways and she was miserable.

My other dog actually it’s the allergy ridden one and she does take up a my other dog actually it’s the allergy ridden one and she does take have apoquel because like you we tried every natural way in the book and the poor girl was miserable all the time. But border collie loves to be outside and she’s very good about staying on the property so she gets her free reign of going outside in the mornings before we leave for work and we leave the front door open for them to go in and out for a good portion of the afternoon we have 2 1/2 acres. And when it’s dark out and after dinner she does have quite the burst of energy and always coming to you with a toy. And she has the sweetest face ever so you can’t deny throwing it for her. LOL I just figured if it was allergies more of her would itch. Between my teenage daughter who is crazy about dogs my husband and I being huge fans of our pets she definitely gets a good amount of attention and play time

As far as my other dog the reason she was on that medication is because her allergies were so bad she would go from just being a little itchy one day to waking up the next day and she’s got blood by her eye and half bald. Poor little thing .... Well I guess not little she’s 50 pounds but she was always medicated up after I gave up on natural remedies that weren’t working. At least where I live they just came out with app a quail about a year ago and it has done wonders for my other dog. But the difference between these two is the yellow border collie has never had this problem and it’s only her feet

Because of my other dog we have to buy the salmon grain free food since my other dogs allergies are so severe we feed her core we feed them both that just to be on the safe side because I’m sure it’s much healthier either way. And my other dog also has a severe severe flea allergy the poor girls a mess. So we have switched to the oral flea medication because we couldn’t find any of the topical ones to work I was hoping to try a couple things to avoid the vet seeing as I just paid in an earthly amount of money for ear surgery for my cat. But if I can’t figure it out she is my baby so she’ll have to go. I’ve never met a dog so frightened of the vet before

Over my lifetime, I've owned quite a few dogs. I'm old. Anyway, among the dogs I've owned, I had a poodle. If the poodle went out in the morning, and there was dew on the grass, or it had rained so the grass was wet, we had to faithfully dry the dog's feet, in between the toes, both on the top, and bottom. If we didn't, the dog would get a sort of foot fungus. At first, there would be no visible signs, but the dog would go crazy licking his feet. Back then there weren't that many antifungal, athletes foot type products, so my mother suggested merthiolate. WARNING: DO NOT put merthiolate on an open sore, because it burns like fire. All I know is, it worked. At the first sign of the dog constantly licking his feet, we would put a bit of merthiolate on them, and it would clear everything up. Now, I suspect at least one of the athlete's foot creams, or sprays would work just fine.

He was the only dog I ever had that was like that, but his feet were sensitive to wet grass his entire 16 years of life. This may not be your situation, but then again, it could be.

That is definitely something to look into. She does like to go to the messiest area of the yard because no matter how old she is she is a definite puppy at heart. She’s nuts And that’s what I love about her. If I tried something on her feet would it still be OK for her to like it because I’ve tried wrapping her feet before and for some reason she has always even her old owner told us about it has been a very weird about having her feet being touched. And she’s very weird about people’s bare feet Being near her. It’s like a whole foot phobia. After my husband and daughter held her enough I wrapped her foot but she is skilled at getting a bandage off I tell you
