dogs and nasty habits

unfortunately my dogs are about the same size as my cat, so, if the cat can get in it, so can the dogs. Also, my cat only has 3 legs so she can't climb to get to her box. We are in a really small 2 bedroom house and there really isn't anywhere to close it off where the dogs can't get to it. I might try the meat tenderizer to see if that helps. They don't eat their own poop, they just like the kitty "treats"

Here is what I did when I lived in a home with no place to put our cats litter box up and out of the way, we had two cats at one time. I went to Home Depot and got one of those large plastic rubbermaid totes. You know the kind you store toys or other bulky items in? Husband cut a hole in one of the narrow sides, closer to one corner than the other, as well as close to the top of the box, then some vent holes around the top. We placed this between furniture in one room and gave it just enough room between the wall and the other furniture for the cats to comfortably get in and out of it. The dogs, one being a small Papillon could not get into the box. And I loved the handy-dandy top on the tote for cleaning -- was so easy to keep clean and the cats loved the extra space inside the box. Another bonus was the cats didn't get litter all over the floor any longer. It was a good system!
