Sometimes itchiness is caused by allergies. The most common allergies are chicken (mainly in collies) and grains. Switch them to a no chicken no grain diet and see if there is any change. Even if they are not actually allergic to the grain, it’s not great for their health and can cause irritation of the skin.

Yep step 1 is to topspot, if no results...I checked out the feed store no grain meat based foods today I'll see if that is it beneficial in any way. After that I'll go back to the vet with what we tried for additional input. But 3/3 discarded by others street dogs I am incredibly doubtful we are looking for food allergies.

Ok probably the final follow up to this post in the hopes someone will find it useful. I received an e-mail from alibaba offering me amitraz 12.5% at $112/kg or liter. At present it is $76/liter (Tak-Tic) manufactured in the Netherlands. Regardless We Topspotted the dogs and they are all resting comfortably tonight.

You no longer need to dip dogs with amitraz for mange; there are much easier and effective treatments!!! Ask you veterinarian if mite treatment is needed, don't dip!

Well the vet said don't even bother with the scrape as there were no obvious lesions to try. Oh well $40- and a trip to town for us. At least we do like our vet's company.

The girls are doing great they have 12 eggs so far. I cannot even imagine cooking half of them.
