Joining the dog pile fun.
This is Gypsy--we got her as a three year old from a shelter; she's six now. She was a mess when we got her, but she's come a long, long, way. Still flinches at things on sticks--like brooms or rakes--some stuff never really heals. But she trusts us completely.
We did a DNA test because the shelter said she was part herding dog (aussie) and we wanted to know if we should avoid Ivermectin (MDR1 mutation in herding dogs)--then found out she has zero aussie in her:
she's half Great Pyrenees, a quarter red heeler, and a quarter "working mix".
She doesn't know whether to guard us or herd us.
