Dominique Thread!

The one you think is a pullet looks more roo-like than the other to me, but they could very well both be pullets. Did they both have fairly dark legs?

I have 30 Dominique Pullets and 5 Cockerels coming May 5th, I CANT WAIT!

Mrs. Green Thumbs :

I don't have any dominiques but I'm interested in them... are they related to bared Rock's? They look a lot alike.

In the mid 1800s they crossed a Dominique with a few other breeds and created a "Single Comb Dominique" this would eventually be refered to as a Barred Plymouth Rock at show in the Late 1800s.

Got 15 doninique chicks yesterday along with 15 Delewares and I have 15 buckeyes comin nice to have 50 acres for em to run on....

I'm currently acquiring breeding stock for a variety of dual purpose birds and have chose Dominques as one of my breeds. I have a few hens and a rooster that is hatchery stock, but have ordered 25 chicks from Bob Berry and highly look forward to their arrival.
