Donald!!! - Gone without a trace…

Pics
Im doubtful it's a bird of prey, bop's usually struggle to catch and animal that heavy on the move and would leave feathers everywere, they'd probably leave the body after eating too. Here's a pic of a crime scene by hawk in my loft :( that's from 2 pigeons much less a grown duck, you'd be seeing a lot of feathers. The cleanest predator I've ever met was a coon, I found blood but few feathers, even coyote left quite a few feathers trying to get a grip on the birds I assume.

Terrible situation..Coyotes do hunt during the day. That's when it came here 4 or 5 days in a row. Mid afternoon as I was selling Ducks. It got Lucy and punctured her belly and back. Thank God she is quick. Bindi finally got it chased off so it hasn't been back. It actually was hidden one afternoon only about 50 feet under a spruce tree while my Ducks were in the kiddie pool..Lucy started barking and my Ducks froze still. I got up and the coyote jumped out from under the tree. It almost got Lucy that time. Definitely terrible. My Husband shot at him once and missed...
Hope you get rid of them soon..

That's frightening!!! I also had one run through my yard during the day - it was chasing a deer so it didn't notice the ducks.

They come down close in the woods behind our home and the property we have fenced for the birds. But thank goodness have never seen one inside the fencing. But boy when they get started howling it's is so creepy. I've seen them running across the dirt road past our home too. They are hunted big time here hated by goat and sheep farmers.

That howling is the creepiest noise - gives me shivers!!!
