Well, if I can order one pair and one female, I'd like to do that instead of two female extras.

am I changing my mind too much?

sorry.

You're silly! Yes you don't have to get two females extra, so I'll change it to 1 pair plus 1 female!

well, that's all I wanted in the first place, I just thought I had to get two extra, and not just one.

I think before it was that you were getting more so we would have enough for the order, but we got it covered now

Yeah, we've got more than enough now.

Well, cool - it'll be easier breaking it to hubby that he'll have three goslings in the house than four of them (especially after he realizes how messy 20 ducklings are gonna be

)

You probably wouldn't even need to keep them in the house that late in the season. They don't need anywhere near as much heat as chickens do. I turned the light off in my pekins after about two weeks, every time I looked at them they were panting. Just put the goslings in your barn in that donkey waterer and put a heat light on them for the first couple of weeks, and they should be fine. I am not sure if I'll keep mine inside at first or not. I hope it is 'warm' enough that I'll be able to keep them outside, I'm getting sick of having babies inside!

Yeah, I'm gonna be out of room in the house soon.

let's see... I have about 30 eggs due to hatch this coming weekend (if any of them hatch - had a temp spike to 107 for a couple hours the other night!!) I have 20 ducklings coming in a week or two, I have 15 pullet chicks coming in early March, I have another set of eggs I'm gathering to hatch when this batch comes out.... Oh, and the button quail eggs - I have 11 in the bator, and so far 4 I've saved to put in when the eggs come out.

then I'll be getting 3 goslings... I may have to expand to the lower coop - turn one cell into a brooder cell

I thought hubby was going to be making you a brooder coop? Dad is talking about making a building 'for all my incubators and stuff' to get them out of that bedroom!

Well, yeah, but it is too muddy to do anything out there right now, I'll need it before it gets built. We can't even finish the lean-to roof (too muddy) and I have all the materials for that - just waiting for it to dry out enough to stand on a ladder and not sink to our ankles.
