There is no abuse to make them like that. They seem quite happy with their feet. They are very speciual birds. So glad that we live in a world where unique breeds that have been around for centuries are not subject to being rescued from their horrible plight by the court of public opinion.

Pretty disgusting.....reminds me of what humans can do screwing around with breeding animals, like those poor smashed face, bug eyed little dogs whose tongues don't fit into their mouths.

The chick is actually kinda cute but the grown birds - forget it. I could never eat any part of one. Just gross.

I actually like how the adults look better. They have more feathers plus I don't really like juvenile birds as much as adults.

I know they're a breed and have been bred for that look, but I find them repulsive and sick looking.
Then again, I also find pugs and bulldogs repulsive, and feel sorry for them. They've been bred in a way that they have really bad breathing issues, and bulldogs can't even give birth to litters naturally.
