It looks like you have a couple of these Dong Tao chickens ,,, So the big question do you have any fertile egg's for sale .... But then again what part of the world do you reside in ??????

I actually have an uncle coming from Vietnam in two months and have been talking to him plus someone that breed this breed in Vietnam. The only problem we have so far is that only eggs can be imported and I do not have an incubator or broody hen.

I actually have an uncle coming from Vietnam in two months and have been talking to him plus someone that breed this breed in Vietnam. The only problem we have so far is that only eggs can be imported and I do not have an incubator or broody hen.

I wonder how the eggs will do after being on an airplane for 14+ hours going up to 30,000 ft. and back to the ground and even my feet swell just flying to Hawaii ......

Well you only live a couple of hours from me so I will ask if the eggs will be in the overhead or in the luggage compartment as this will be a huge difference ......

And is this a non stop flight from Vietnam to LA or is there a stop in the Philippines or Hawaii as this will be multiple times the eggs change altitude .....

How many eggs do you think your uncle would be willing to bring back and what would he be charging for his services ...... I can handle only about 40 eggs in my incubator ...

I some times bring eggs from US to Vietnam . hatching rate very low

Yeah. Shipped eggs usually have lower hatching rates. The elevation and handling can cause the airsac to detatch. It is best to let the eggs settle upon arrival so that the air sac goes back to the top of the egg before incubating. I got my hatch rates to 100 % doing that, but sometimes the eggs are too damaged inside to start developing.

I am still in the process of working things out with my uncle, so I will update you guys! He has to first take a flight to another part of Vietnam to pick them up. I'm a bit worried about how every things going to work out, to be honest. Please do not get your hopes up! If all works out, I'll only be asking for shipping money. They will be first come, first serve as I do not want to profit off this and just want to learn more about the breed.

It is a non stop flight and he will be sitting business class.
