Hi! The Aracaunas I have are a third bigger with a bigger ruff around their necks and their feathers have more barring, which made me think this might be another breed. I know Aracunas can very quite a bit and perhaps, this is the case here. That looks very much like our americana's that we have.
Hello chickennewb17,I'm a first timer, but I think I might have a rooster on my hands...I took two pictures of each of my Dominiques. I think they are about 4-5 weeks old. The first two pics are of GO-GO, which is who I think it the rooster? The second set of pics are of Holly. Thoughts?View attachment 1022559 View attachment 1022560 View attachment 1022561 View attachment 1022562
Hello totty!I have 5 week old chicks from Murray McMurray. Can you help me identify this smallish chick with a gold head and blue legs? I also have Aracaunas, but this chick is smaller with a slimmer neck.View attachment 1022679 View attachment 1022681
Hello tottyI am stumped as to the breed of these three birds? The photos do not do justice in showing the color; they are a pretty, creamy-beige and not white, but other than that these chicks look pretty ordinary. The chicks are five weeks old and were part of a Murray McMurray Ornamental Layer mix. One is clearly a cocky--maybe too cocky--rooster. Thanks for your help!
