I believe I have 1 white plymoth rock, 3 silver cuckoo marands, 2 RIR, 2 australorps, and one buckeye. I was told they are all girls. I also ordered a barrend plymoth rock but we lost one the first week and I am guessing that was her but not positive as the marands look so similar.

Do Buckeyes always develop slower? She is so much smaller than everyone else and no tail feathers yet. She is super independent, doesn't like to be held, but stands up for herself if the others test her. She always steals from the others and runs off with a higher pitched CHEEEEEEEEP than anyone else!

Hallo. I am new to the forum so hopefully I am in the right thread. I found a chick in my garden 5 weeks ago. I don't know how old it is but the head shot picture was taken on the 26th of May (one month after arrival) I am not sure what breed it is or the gender. I am in South Africa. Any help will be appreciated.

I have edited the post to add an updated picture of the full body taken on 29 May.

I am stumped as to the breed of these three birds? The photos do not do justice in showing the color; they are a pretty, creamy-beige and not white, but other than that these chicks look pretty ordinary. The chicks are five weeks old and were part of a Murray McMurray Ornamental Layer mix. One is clearly a cocky--maybe too cocky--rooster. Thanks for your help!
