That one looks like mine lol... I am pretty sure mine is a rooster too!
Here is another picture of one of my RIR that I am afraid is a rooster and not a hen
That was how my RIR rooster looked at that age...View attachment 550816 View attachment 550817 I think I already know but what sex and breed do you think this is. It's about 6-8 weeks i guess. Ive had him for 3 weeks. Bought as a pullet at tractor supply.
Silkie mix. The gene for silkied feathers is recessive, so when bred to a none-silkie, you get regular feathers.Do you know what breed this hen is?View attachment 1079323
That's not a RIR. Do you have a current photo? That was how my RIR rooster looked at that age...

First photo features a buff Orpington pullet. Second has a RIR pullet with another that's facing away (I'd want to see that one in profile because the wing shading looks a bit suspicious).Thoughts on the 2 Rhode Island reds? ~10 weeks... not the best photo... these teens are skiddish still!!

Yeah... my buff walked right in front when I snapped the photo!! Didn't know if the waddles and comb would tell. I will get better photos of the one RIR this evening!! I'm pretty sure it's a shadow... at least I hope!!First photo features a buff Orpington pullet.
