Don't make me go......(venting)

Oh! Thankyou! You have all made me feel better! I really thought I was the only one who felt like this!

Southernlady- I mentioned to DH he could go without me. He kindly reminded me of a class reunion I drug him to against his will last summer

redhen- I know! I am NOT one of those people. I try, I really do. I am just to easily intimidated I guess!

OK! I will go get all prettied up so I am ready to go when DH gets home. I will be wearing a radiant smile, sucking in my stomach and praying it snows 3 feet in the next 5 hours!......Now, there has to be a bottle of wine around here somewhere!!

I told DH just to be honest and then suggest a time when we could get together just the 4 of us. He won't do it though. Maybe secretly he DOES want to go. HMMMM?

Fake it!! Again!?

I do totally understand, believe me. Been there, done that.

But, after 40 years of marriage, I'm still alive.

You'll have fun and maybe make some new and interesting friends!

You should both go, drink as much as you feel the need to, hand your keys to the host and spend the night on their sofa, raid the fridge, take showers, leave towels on the floor, cook (only) yourselves breakfast, leave the stove dirty and sink full of dishes. You will NEVER have to go to their house ever again!

BUNCO is a dice game of chance where you're trying to roll 1s, then 2s then 3s, etc. There will be something like 4 tables of 4 people. Your partner for the game is the person across from you. You're trying to roll certain numbers (the host will explain more if this is the game you do play). The head table dictates the length of the game. When they're done, you're done, too. If you & your partner win, you move up a table but you don't keep partners: you partner with a new person every round.

It takes an hours or so, you'll meet everyone in the house at least once, and it will be mercifully short. It goes quickly because it's so structured and you're trying to roll as many times as possible before the head table is done.

I have played just once and it was OK. Not my thing but it wasn't bad. I was a substitute for my mom's group so didn't know anyone, which was fine.
