I wanted to know the dosage for Enrofloxacin 100g/l for a 10 lb Pekin duck.
@casportpony, i remember you helped me with the dosage for my hen a few months ago.
My pekin has developed bumblefoot or has a dark big wart looking thing on her foot pad. They always had nice healthy, clean feet, but since i changed their Kennel, their feet are always on dirt ground instead of grass. I will give her an epsom salt soak, and add drawing salve and bandage the foot up, but need to know the dosage for baytril, so the infection won't spread and die off until the kernel/pus plug comes out.

TIA!

So, you don't think that baytril would help with stopping an active infection?
I am not sure if it is bumblefoot. It is a large black'ish spot that looks more like a wart than bumble. Since i won't bring her in, i will have to put her in the off the ground kennel, so her feet stay clean. So @casportpony, since i am going to use drawing salve, no to baytril then ?

My concern is that you will start the Baytril then after five days of treatment there will still be a kernel. Then what? Giving Baytril for more than five days can cause yeast infections, so then you would have to buy something to treat yeast.

Is there any chance you can get a vet to look at her? If not, can you post some pictures of her foot?

I just saw this thing yesterday. Vet is not an option. It isn't something i can't treat myself. I have everything needed. I just cannot bring her in the house. I will put her in the off the ground pen with a thick mat, so she can sit and stand softly. I was going to treat her with baytril while i tackle the sore with drawing salve. I guess i will do drawing salve first, and once the kernel comes out, i will start baytril for 3-5 days?
And yes, i will take pics in a little bit :)

Let's see pictures first, then I will comment about the Baytril.

I took pics and as i held her foot, i tugged lightly at the scab. It came off with no issues, it started bleeding a bit, so i brought her in the house and put her in an epsom salt soak. Took the rest of the scab off, cleaned it well, sprayed blukote on it, let dry and dabbed drawing salve in and on it generously. Gauzed it and vet wrapped it. Gave baytril, and benebac probiotic gel. The inside of the scab looked somewhat like a barnacle? i didn't have a hand free to take a pic while doctoring her up.
