no no no..the double yolk has not pipped. in my other thread, the egg i set in the bator on sept. 15th pipped. the double yolk goes into lockdown in the morning.

omg I know the waiting just about kills ya. ugghhhhh. The sept 15th egg pipped this morning at around 8 a.m. and it is now 3 30 p.m. and still i just see the chick's beak periodically poke out from the pip and I hear it chirp.

I will post pics of all of them as they hatch out this week.

Good luck on your hatch. I go into lockdown tomrrow on cochin and EEXCochin eggs. Then next week on Silkie eggs.

I am combining another thread with this one. Eggs were set in the bator as follows:

Sept 15th 1 egg
Sept 16th 1 egg
Sept 17th 1 egg
Sept 18th 1 DOUBLE YOLK EGG
Sept 20th 2 eggs

long story (see other thread for why this was done this way).

Anyway, it is 4 15 p.m. and we now finally have the chicky chick zipping in the Sept 15th egg.

wooohoooo will post its picture as soon as it is hatched.

OMG...the sept 15th egg just hatched 4:30 p.m. This baby is huge. I never seen feet and legs so big on a chick, and its wings are awesome. And it has a very strong chirp too.
