Drake or Hen?

I got my first duck, Clyde about a month ago. He's a call duck and I got him from the county fair and I want to get him a friend. We were thinking waiting until next summer to get another duck, but he seems really down the last couple weeks, so I want to do it now. What are the pros/cons of a hen and then of a drake? I have some ideas in my head about both, but I'm new to this and don't really know much.

Oh, I'd definitely get a hen. Two drakes can get along fine as long as there are no females, but there's always a bigger chance of fighting and aggression with two drakes. Besides, hens lay eggs!

Girls are REALLY loud but you can have eggs and Babies

and two drakes together get to be buddies - but no eggs or babies.
