Drawing/paintings of chickens/other fowl!

I did this one yesterday

looks good can somebody show me how to draw a chicken from the front and how to draw a beard and a crested chicken.
Best advice is keep a reference photo in front of you and taaake yooour tiiime!!! Also use your pencil to judge angles (hold it up to the angle on your reference photo and then to your paper) and look at the photo as only shapes and highlights/shadows. Looking at different sections simply as shapes will help judge if you've got the right shape in the section you're drawing, and the highlights/shadows will bring your picture to life!
 
Also never never never use your fingers to blend/smudge! Our hands have oils in them that make it really difficult to get a smoothly blended area, there will be dark spots and light spots everywhere if you use your fingers, and even with an eraser it is hard to even it out. Best things to use are tissue or blending sticks that you can buy from any art/craft store. Kneadable erasers are quite useful too :p
