Decided my Easter Egger pullet Salem needed some fanservice, so I did a sketch on an ACEO sized piece of rag board (2.5"x3.5")

How'd you like wood as a surface or painting? I love it!

I've been searching for pieces of wood exactly like what you painted on, I love them! With the bark on and everything, mm! (Although I haven't been searching that hard, I could probably get some no problem if I put in the effort lol)

Either way, it looks great!! Would love to see some more

If you find someone selling slabs of wood like that from a fresh-cut tree, be sure to seal it up with varnish or wax else it will likely crack. Of course, that can be a neat look so it's not the worst thing to happen.

And WOW Foghorn has a giant comb! (most of my chickens have pea combs. )
